Most of you who know me on a day to day basis know me well enough to tell me I’m a drum’n'bass junkie! I love the genre! Its so diverse and underground, None of this cheesy pop, slop and crock you hear on the radio every 20 minutes. Drum and bass is a following you have to feel the vibe of the artist to truly appreciate the inspiration of their work.

I find DnB a lot like design work, It takes one of the best parts of your brain to listen to all the details that are happening at any one time in a drum and bass track, likewise with the same goes for designing something. You need a lot of undivided attention to create something and I find that Drum and Bass helps me to realise that I can in fact work more efficiently listening to it on a daily basis… The speed of the music actually keeps me on the edge, I find its almost uplifting! Right now as I write this I’m listening to some old skool drum and bass track by an Artist known very well in the scene call D Kay, The track in question is “D Kay & Epsilon – Barcelona”, I shall Link to it below along with some other all time favourites of mine…

Aside from that I do a bit of Bedroom DJ/Private Party when I get chance and all of the music I have collected on vinyl and various other medium over the years I’ve managed to keep hold of or sampled into my PC. I still use them today in aiding my musical creativity that I have, and let my inner being feel more satisfied with me as a creative. Music I find is the gate to being open minded. Sounds are a big part of my feelings and day to day life. If I didn’t have music I’d really struggle! Someone asked me if I had a choice over Music or my Car, Bearing in mind I need my car to get to work… which would i choose? I replied “Music wins… Hands down, Any day!” – Now that’s true dedication to a cause… (as i work 25 miles away from my home!)

Hopefully the Drum and Bass scene is going to continue to grow has it has been doing over the last couple of years. I’m a religious old skooler as you know and find that some of the new stuff that arrives on the scene is a bit wrong and chompy, but tastes change as do sounds and era’s so let this be a virtual toast to the future of drum and bass, Hopefully it’ll be around for many years to come aiding me to work even harder!

Recently I’ve taken a new hobby up with my girlfriend, Jen (my girlfriend) being the finder of this actually quite cool globally played game!

Geocaching is a worldwide game of hiding and seeking treasure. A geocacher can place a geocache in the world, pinpoint its location using GPS technology and then share the geocache’s existence and location online. Anyone with a GPS unit can then try to locate the geocache.

Also, for the record you pronounce it Geo-cashing, like cashing a check!

This weekend we managed to bag a handfull of items tresure and goodies! Also we’ve been introduced to the “Tracking Bugs” and “GeoCoins” which are items that travel on certain missions all around the world. This is am image below of a large GeoCache, (Ammo Crate) Caches come in many shapes and sizes but this is one of the better ones.

Currently In our possession me and Jen have 3 Tracking Bugs and 1 Geocoin. Two of the tracking bugs have come from the United states and one has travelled over 5,000 miles and the other nearing 10,000 miles!

It’s very addictive and anyone interested in a tresure hunt thats so big its global should definatly take a look into it! Plus it gets you out the house and off the PC so you can see exactly why girlfriends and other halfs absolutly love it. Plus if you have a dog, they will love you more than ever for the walks that you take him/her on just to find these geocaches!

Best thing is, you dont need a standalone GPS device now as the iphone is yet again here to help! For a mere £5.99 you can get everything you need to get geocaching!
Once you have an account on the geocaching website, you grab the iphone app, and you’re as ready as ever!

So no matter where you are, at home, work, on your jollies! If you want to get out and do something geocaching is the prefect way to pass sometime and also pickup some cool items, see some cool views, and even meet some fellow caches!

So sat here starving my barn doors off and i dont wanna eat my dinner with my fingers as it would make a right mess. Also that aside… If the delivery guy arrivies and I’m covered in red stuff all over my fingers like i’ve just been in the operating room at DRI, then god knows what i’d do…

So i decided to make one… if anyone comes into the same issue… (as if anyone would lol, but you could…)
