hi there i got an i-phone from ebay and the imei code is blocked is there any thing i can do ? if not i got buggered over :( it an 8GB i-phone and its jail broken already any help would be great thanks alot bud

  5. Dan Cunningham says:

Gary, there is nothing you can do if its blocked by the Networks in the UK, The only way you will ever be able to use that phone again is outside of the UK. IMEI numbers are at the minute Country bound.

So if a phones IMEI number has been blocked for what ever reason you can still use it in other country. So you might want to sell it to someone abroad, and buy another for UK use.

    I hope that help!

    Hi Dan,
just to clarify, the two contacts need to be touching when no sim is inserted and not touching when the sim is inserted. That right?
    Thanks

  7. Dan Cunningham says:

    Hi Ken,

    Yep that is correct :)

  8. Ken says:

Thanks for your reply Dan, I tried both ways but still no luck.
I’ll play with it a little more before I throw everything in the bin!
    Cheers

    Hi Karthi

This is for the iPhone 3GS and 3G only. The iPhone 4 doesnt suffer from this issue.

    Cheers
