Eee PC 701

I’ve been looking into it as we’ve just had a batch come in at work, and Wow these damn laptops from Asus look cool as hell!

Eee PC 701 4G

The ASUS Eee PC 701 is a Tiny 10″ laptop with a 7″ LCD monitor running its own OS based on linux.

Now you can install windows or another distro of linux on there, but with the Eee PC 701 only having a mear 900mhz, 512Mb ram and a 4Gig solid state harddrive. Although this is really good, i may wait a little bit for the UK release of the Eee PC 701 8G

Spec of this machine is slightly higher, and in my eyes worth waiting for.
900mhz Intel Mobile CPU, 1Ghz of RAM, and a 8Gig harddrive.

Also i’ve just been reading the net and i’ve found a roumore of the Eee PC having a 10″ lcd, running 1024 768 instead of the default resolution of 800 x 480 Now thats something that interested me more than the current model.

But there is always a down side for UK residents like myself, the simple plain fact that we always have to wait for things to be released after they have so aboard. This is forever annoying and I cant stress the fact that this is oneof the worst things about living in England, UK.

    The @ symbol can be changed via the keyboard settings in languages tab :)

    Personally though, I would recommend you install XP upon the Eee PC, Even Asus recommend this :)
